    personally I like the version of IO that is on the "tonite lets all make love in london" ep.

    I've got two alternate versions, dunno where they're from so I dunno if I've got that one..

    I still like the album version the best, pretty much just because its got the best quality of the 3.

    no way..... the IO on tonite lets all make love has better quality to me..... there is just something about it, that wasnt really captured on the PATGOD album

    I must not have that version then.. what exactly is the Lets All Make Love EP?

    btw, i meant quality as in sound quality. the other 2 recordings I have are rather static-y.

    I think it is from late 66, early 67..... so the IO that was recorded on that album was produced and mixed by a different producer and in a different studio, for the movie.... its basically part of a soundtrack...... it has some spoken snippets from the movie as well....... there are only two floyd songs on there, which is IO and nick's boogie.

    the staticy versions you have must be bootlegs.... because the one on TLAMLIL is far from staticy

    I also must add that the version of IO on TLAMLIL runs around 17 minutes, so its almost twice as long as the one on PATGOD

    anything by syd barrett is amazing(chapter 24)..great gig in the sky..shine on you crazy diamond has one of the best instrumentals ever..and of course hey you

    actually I like rick's contributions quite alot..... even his early stuff like "paintbox" and "summer '68"
