Zone Troopers, but I'm a sucker for bad B movies, My Life Without Me is so sad but really beautiful, and I love Empire Records, never gets old, but everyone's heard of it.
Neither are exactly unknown, but neither are particularly lauded over either: Clue - funny as fuck. How To Get A Head In Advertising - better than Withnail & I, whilst still containing Richard E Grant.
Fallen Angels is a great movie from Hong Kong, that most film-type people probably have heard of, but which is not so mainstream. um, has anyone seen Bad Boy Bubby? The one of the funniest movies EVER (in a sick way). It's a fantastic movie, i really liked it, once i'd gotten over the initial shock of some of the subject matter.
Hey Goldberry I have. I loved that wordless montage journey around the world with ambient music, great stuff. Never forget that scene in the jungle with all the men praying to their God, with their hands waving all over the place in unison while they chanted out strange noises. Glad you have seen it, I loved it loads.
Bully, The Year that Trembled, Prozac Nation, Girl, New Best Friend, Virgin Suicides, Liberty Heights, Bang, Bang, You're Dead!, The Secret Life of Girls, United States of Leland, I've Been Waiting For You, How to Steal a Million, I could go on.. But I can't think..
^ That reminded me of "Night on Earth" I can't remember if I liked it or not, but there was one scene that had me suffocating with laughter. When Roberto Begnini is talking about having sex with a pumpkin. This is great... I haven't heard of any of these movies (except a few). Problem is, I seriously doubt I'll ever find them at the Blockbuster. o well.
There is this one movie which is one of my favs its called 'Three O'Clock High' and no one i know has seen it...
WTF, no way. Withnail and I is far superior by miles. ''I demand the finest wine and cake available to human kind''
They had something about that movie in Grand Theft Auto 3, one of the secret phone missions, it went through these long as cut scenes

we should start a "movies no one's ever heard of swap" people who own the movies could trade with eachother and then send them back and do it all over again with a different person. Could be fun.
1. Mississippi Masala 2. A Midnight Clear 3. Stalag 17 4. Deadline 5. Hollywood Shuffle 6. The Walking Dead 7. Lock, Stock, and two Smoking Barrels
Satyajit Ray's was a master film maker. Any of his films are well worth seeing, but I think his best was Charulata. While you're at it, see Devi, The World of Apu and The Stranger also. If you like Bob Dylan, then you have to see Masked and Anonymous. I own copies of Dead Man, Withnail and I, and How To Get Ahead In Advertizing. I am not quite sure why, but they remind me of Harold and Maude. Oh yeah, the guy who made Love Object, Robert Perigi, is a close friend of a close friend. I have talked with him a few times. And yes, of course, he's a little quirky, in an interesting kind of way. And I just love Baraka. If you like this film then I would also suggest you see 1 Giant Leap. I also loved What The Bleep Do We Know?, I Heart Huckabees and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
Small One Disney movie at x-mas time about the donkey that carries mary. I am not religious, but this movie makes me cry. Also, this Independant film w/ Uma Thurman she is a hitchhiker w/ a huge thumb, I can't remember what its called. And Dreams an asian movie w/ subtitles, fucked up movie highly recommend. Kundun, movie about the Dhali Llama, really good!
