This is not an interview, but, a very, very, interesting lecture a professor gave to his class for cheating on a midterm exam. I thought it was pretty interesting to listen to.

I remember when that happened, I’m surprised anyone remembered that since it took place several years ago.

Remember when Mackenzie Phillips revealed to Oprah that she had an incestuous relationship with her dad John Philips from the famed Mamas & the Papas -

This fascinates me. I don't want to say I feel sorry for this guy, it doesn't seem the right word, more like.. I feel kind of in awe of people going through life, experiencing it so differently than most others.

Willy Brandt: We have always looked upon Britain as a country with deep rooted parliamentary and democratic traditions
    and we also believed
    and still believe
that Britain has collected experiences in world affairs which should be made part of common European heritage
and not just remain with the British

    Having said this
we never believed that we could say more than "You are welcome"
We would like to see you within a west european community
but nobody should have the impression as if we wanted to interfere

Interviewer, a Brit: Can you manage without us

Willy Brandt: Of course we can.

I watched fifteen minutes but my tablet battery is running out. Interesting guy. Great moment when he lights his cigarette.

I've never been one to sit through interviews. I'm curious about certain ones... like with Zack De La Rocha (frontman Rage Against the Machine), or Jerry Garcia. But overall I have a really short attention span! :)

I have that problem sometimes but I don't like it! If attention spans can become shorter I assume they can also be lengthened? With practice...

  19. I like em.

You can just play them in the background while you do stuff.
You don't even have to focus, but you'll catch an interesting point or a remark...which is enough anyways, so it's not wasted time.
I posted a few Günter Gaus ones.
I play his stuff a lot - his guests were interesting, it's very enthralling to hear opinions of these great minds from the past (especially politicians), and to maybe connect it to the present. To see how things played out.
Plus they are in German, so you get to practice or learn a new word or two.

  20. He smokes a lot there.
I wonder if these days it would be okay to do it during an interview like that.
