I'm happy for it to be a vegetable.

Fruit is the most unpleasant food to me. I think I'd rather eat meat than a banana.

Wow. That is highly peculiar o_O
Ah well whatever holds yerr gravy
    I s'pose ;)

    :p

Maybe one day you will like it. You know I used to hate vegetables with a passion, I mean a passion! Until I learned to cook them right for me. There still some stuff I won't do, but for the most part, my big NONO's, brocolli, cauliflower, pumpkin are really nice for me now, like I crave them daily.

    I hate Corriander.

    Ah, pumpkin... another vege-fruit I love : P

I have taught myself to drink fruit juices and some dried fruit as I've got older. It's a genuinely phobic dislike though.. when I was a little kid I wouldn't let anyone near me if they'd even touched fruit, unless they washed their hands. I'm waaay over that level of craziness, haha, but the idea of eating an apple or something is revolting. Apparently I used to spit out fruity baby foods when I was 8 months old. So it's a very deep running hatred. Highly peculiar indeed : )

Very interesting, I'm not that into fruits either, although I really enjoy smoothies, but I have never heard anyone refer to an apple as revolting.

Had to find out what the phobia was...

Huckleberries are great, fresh or as a pie filling. In high school I worked in an orchard with all the old time apple varieties. Tolman sweet, golden russet, Whitney crabs, varieties I never see anymore. If we had a tree that no one could remember the name of, but the apple had some red, it was sold in the farm store as “American Beauty”. Lol.
