do you know about the crazy shit that columbus did? chris and the others that were with him were thought of as gods by the native americans. they used this power to along with torture murder and rape to rob the natives of everything they had. he coverted them to christianity to make them more desirable slaves. oh yeah he would aslo pimp out native girls as young as 7, i have heard, to powerful europeans. and to top it all of we have a NATIONAL HOLIDAY for him! Fucking amazing. how can such a terrible guy have a national holiday in America? by being the best evil person in history

the unknown and long forgotten person, tens of thousands of years ago, who first refused to allow someone else to survive off by themselves, and thus begain what has since become governments and economics and beliefs and all of that backward headed glorification of hierarchy that has come to threaten the planet's very ability to continue to sustain conditions under which our species can continue to exist.

i'm sure he even pretended to be kind and gentle and easy to get along with. as long as you didn't try to get along without him.

lol baby, I would say hes smart but I wouldnt say he should be given a cookie. If anybody should be given a cookie it should be the estimated 72 million people who died because of his idiotic and corrupt mind. I didnt want to make you mad but thats just how I feel.

if were talking pure evil, then i'd have to vote the nazi doctor Josef Mengele. His death toll may not be as high as other evil figures, but this guy did indescribably horrible things - torturing small children by sewing them together, leaving them to die of gangreen two days later. Injecting innocent kids with substances that would cause great pain then death. He practised all sorts of horrific 'experiments' on children at Auschwitz, particularly twins, of which he killed over 12,000 in the end (and these are just a portion of his vicitms). He was nicknamed the Angel of Death for his crimes, and, unjustly, was never even caught. His body was found buried in Brazil in 1979, a bitter truth to all of the friends/family of his victims who so longed for him to be brought to justice.

I thought the Huns were stopped at Vienna, or was that the Mongols? What century are we talking here? (Sorry I'm ignorant of this, it's a little before my time.) And, does the word Hun relate to the country Hungary?

Now, if we're talking mass murderers, how can we get around Harry Truman and the fire bombing of Japan? Forget the A-bomb -- the fire bombing killed more people and in a very painful manner.

JimmyDean is giving you the straight facts on Columbus. See also James Loewen, "Lies My Teacher Told Me", The New Press, New York, 1993. Loewen gives a good account of Columbus and his enslavement of the Arawaks on Hispaniola from 1493 onward. Columbus also occasionally hung a sailor from the yardarm of his vessel for insubordination or whatever. He was a nice guy in the same league as (Manson girl) Susan Atkins, (Vietnam war architect) Robert MacNamara, or Ted Bundy.

While Caligula was clinically insane, I gotta say Xerxes gets a bad rep in the west because of the persian invasions of Greece. But really for his time Xerxes was a pretty liberal ruler and well liked in most persian lands.
