I love jazz, and thought I'd ask you folks this: What's your favorite period of this music? for me it is probbably the 20s to 40s, I love 78s, but more than that I love the wonderful danceable sound that music had, swing especially. I also love the mid to late 50s hard bop records, and some of the modal stuff!
