Bro iam on that as well, i gotta get to one. Iam thinking twenty one ill have some money saved, possibly an aparment and then the concert vision i have going on in my head will happy. Other than that iam just gonna keep on waiting.
That's a really tough question, concerts are probably my favorite thing to do! I'm gonna say Manu Chao... I'v seen him three times across europe but I can't say which of those was my favourite
Haha aww I kinda wish I got to do that. I've never danced so hard til I went to go see Rubblebucket Orchestra, Miska, and John Brown's Body @ Paradise Lounge. What a night. I had started smoking again so I was feeling extra great and we all got drunk before the show. I almost passed out and threw up in in the venue though haha.
major lazer at the starlight ballroom in philly. such a good show. best part was that it was only $15... i would never pay more than like $30 to see anything, every concert ive been to has been under $20 and theyre all amazing, no need to spend a shitload of money to have a good time. i also saw girl talk at my school for $10, that was a fun show
sounds awesome fun haha yeah dude i mean i've been to some great shows and fests but there's somethin about being a 10 year old girl seeing the spice girls hahahah
i can in no answer this question; I don't think i have a favorite, so many are fantastic in their own way, i could list some shows that stick out, but even that would be long
good choice. i'm jealous - i'd love to see them. i'll go with 311 in saratoga springs, ny i also really enjoyed silversun pickups and badfish: a tribute to sublime in rochester, ny
In 1970 saw Led Zeppelin in Ottawa. Was fantastic, more so as I had to beg to see it and finally was able to go on the condition that my father took me, the poor man was miserable. Other end of the spectrum, I saw George Strait in 2006 and he is brilliant. Too many others to even pick one that is a favourite.
As for the actual question: Personal favorite: -Roger Waters In regards to who performs the best live compared to their studio work: -Bruce Springsteen -Fleetwood Mac
Missed badfish last year, they played in Cork. Was going to go up for it but if memory serves me right (it usually doesnt) then I was after a bit of a sssion in town and was far too mangled to get in a strangers car  My funniest gig memory was Download in 06 when Avenged Sevenfold got booed offstage. Funny as fuck, people were booing as soon as they came on but things didnt really kick off till they tried covering Breed by Nirvana. 50,000 people shouting "YOURE NOT KURT COBAN" saying Coban, not Cobain  they just walked off stage in the middle of it. That was great though because Alice in Chains got an extra hour which was fucking brilliant. Was surprised at actually liking the new singer...still no Layne Staley though.
Yonder Mountain String Band, about to see them live for the 3rd time.. VIP seats for the second time, its such a fun show.. Its like Bob Weir and Ratdog, but more bluegrass
I want to see 311 live. I don't really own any albums and know the names of only a few songs, but they have such a badass sound. What's badfish? is that a tribute band or like the name of the show and a bunch of different groups perform?
yea, he got it. the cover band's name. they are also known as "scotty don't" under which they play original more ska music. i didn't like it, and was confused when the same opening band re-took the stage as the main act. 311 was amazing live. they sound so great, just as good or better than their album stuff. i think i own 6 albums (three are burned) and i don't really know all the song names. i count them as one of my three favorite bands though, maybe number one. i listened to a lot of 311 on my 1st acid trip
You see a cross over fan base but that's about it. One is dead tunes, sometimes with a slight jazzy feel to the jams depending what's happening with the Sax and yonder is dirty kick some dirt whiskey drinking fast pluckin jam grass. I don't really see how ratdog is like yonder, except you'll see the same kids working the lot.
I live for live music. Most of my weekends at least one night is spent at a show, I hope the same blessed opportunity for many of you. If you haven't seen music, GO! Greatest form of art and expression. Life is about experiences. I've seen all types of music but I focus around the jam scene. I prefer shows to concerts, if'n you know what I mean. I have seen some amazing shows at Red Rocks, and can pull a million different favorites for a million different reasons from a million different venues though. Even though I'm hard on the Panic boat now, my favorite show might be my first show. String Cheese Incident at Red Rocks June 30, 2000. I was fifteen years old, had been puffing tough for a couple years and had eaten some mushrooms. I landed in the midst of the scene just like that. I was amazed. I was in love. Normal life was over. (yeah I still lead a normal life as much as necessary to allow the freak to flourish) http://www.archive.org/details/sci2000-06-30.dsbd.shnf Check it out! much love
