Marya Hornbacher - Wasted From someone who deals with eating disordered issues, this book really stood out to me among every other eating disorder recovery story. She doesn't cheese it up, she's brutally honest and tells you that after you get to a place where you can keep a steady, healthy weight, your disorder is not over. it still controls your mind. It's not a happy ending. That really, really spoke to me - every other recovery book is like, pictures of people running toward the sunset with their arms in the air, pictures of people eating salad and smiling, etc. It's just not realistic. There are so many health and family issues involved. Great book, especially if you have a loved one with eating disordered issues. It really lets you into her world and her mind.
Richard, at the age of 19, left home with friends, for europe tour. on reaching there, they are left with 20$. What follows, is totally unbelieveable. Yes, reality is stranger than fiction. And this is an autobiography.
