I read that one too. I used to have that book. It was written by Lena Pepitone, her New York housekeeper. It was very interesting. I think it's the best about Marilyn.
My favorite autobiography is "Running With Scissors" by Augusten Burroughs;he's so awesome and relatable!!!!!!!!! My favorite biography is "The Mayor of Castro Street,"Randy Shilts' bio of Harvey Milk.
For comedy, I like Frankie Boyle's "My shit life so far" and for music I like either Slash's or AC/DC Maximum rock n roll
The very first biography I ever read was on Janis Joplin. I was a teenager and loved her music. This turned me into a biography/auto biography fan. Others I've enjoyed... Magical Mystery Tour: my life with the beatles- Tony Bramwell Miss O'Dell: My long days and hard nights with the beatles- Chris O'Dell Wonderful Tonight- Pattie Boyd Memoirs from William T. Sherman The Long Hard Road Out of Hell- Marilyn Manson A Woman in Berlin- Anonymous High on Arrival- Mackenzie Phillips American on Purpose- Craig Ferguson Losing It- Valerie Bertinelli It Aint All About the Cookin- Paula Deen Gertruda's Oath- A child, a promise, and a heroic escape during WWII- Ram Oren Currently reading...Corn Flakes with John Lennon- Robert Hilburn
I really liked ''Mao: The Unknown Story'' By Jung Chang and John Halliday. It goes into great detail about Maos life, and generally portrays him in a negative light. Its very well written, I'd recommend it highly!
Like what? I don't read biographies much at all. In fact, the last I can remember reading, back in the 1970s, was this: Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. One of the most inspirational books ever. Ooops, just remembered I did read John Densmore's autobio... Riders on the Storm. It was lying around somewhere so I read it. I didn't care for it too much. He seemed so uptight for a member of the doors.
William Henry "Bill" Gates :2thumbsup: ...Co-Founder and Chairman, Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates...
I just finished Ozzy Osbourne's "I Am Ozzy"... What a book! George Carlin's "Last Words" is another one that I read awhile back, great stuff.
I've read a few good ones lately. "Truman" by George McCullough; "Life" by Keith Richards; and Steve Wozniak's (co-founder of Apple) autobiography, "iWoz" I think it's called.
