youre forgetting muesli you know european kinda cerials with dried fruit and many diffirent wheat very filling doesnt weight or cost much (as long as you dont buy over priced once like alpen) it's very healthy and tastes great i eat it all the time straight from the bag and ofcourse it doesnt spoil just make sure youve got a plastic bag or something so it doesnt "bleed" to your backbag

and well not one you should keep with you put eat staight away is cheese! i love to eat cheese like blue german cheese, emmental, strong cheeses cheese has lot of fat and protein and is pretty easy to consume allso instead of buying juice from store for breakfast buy 1l yoghurt (hey its only 1e-2e) it has lot of calories and calcium makes your bones stronger i suggest you buy vitamins though or you'll lose your teeth theyre not very expensive and i like to live not eating often like i eat once every third or fourth day on the road but when i eat i eat like a starving dog. ill let you on a secret: yoghurt + muesli makes ultimate food
canned beans are allso good if you can stand the taste when their cold(lukewarm)

Oh yeah salad! Simple too. Romaine mixed in some feta cheese sprinkled w/ Trader Joes Organic Vingar/Red wine dressing. Blessed food indeed!

Can't beat rice, ramen, mix veggies, frozen egg whites (good for a couple of days til unfrozen all the way), organic granola and/or energy bars, TJ overpriced trailmixes, GORC (I don't like peanuts prefer cashews or pecans); string cheese or Baby bel. Tons of bottled water or well filtered tap and soymilk (plain or chocolate to heat up YUMMY!)

Might had muesli to the mix and grahmn crackers next time. I'm not so much at eater as I am a snacker so I like a mix of things to nibble on.
