I won't be original, I'm digging Crass big time. Conflict, Against Me, Subhumans, Antischism and Icons of filth are some other bands I also love.

 

I'm seeing Against Me in October. I saw them a few years ago. It should be interesting. Last time I saw them Laura was still Tom.

Oh man u guys mention so many conscious bands, Ausrotten is super amazingly good, so is MDC and peni and itgoes on an on but pas tcouple months. i have been listening to all ofthe crass albums andthe response i have from pretty much every aspect of the band is awesome. the way that s.ignorant is able to express his view points is great. it definately is a difrent aspect than what is prescribed to society in general. their songs are very serious and touch down on very important subject topics, with a "Wake up!" attitude or more of a public service announcment that is that we are aware the nature of your madness, and will be less likley to buy into it" they sound fed up. informative, and different. and i think that the sound, or sounds kind of a miltary style drum, very expressive some it just sounds like complete shit or a very catchy raw sounding upbeat and uplifting. i say uplifting because i feel that when we talk about whats going on around us, we become more conscious and understand a little bit more aboout life and gives us a sense of being able to agree with each other. for reasons the system hasnt provided. and its okay to identify with his lyrics because its true. crass will not waste your time. a little effort into trying to understand the lyrics will help you from falling into confusion about things that go on right in front of ur eyes. and leaves u with a sense that u are a seprate entity from their government. their insane illusion. and to me thats able to at least starting point.
