thats how they got the name metal, im not pulling this out of my ass i have relatives and teachers and people who grew up in the 70s tell me this, look

if black sabbath, zepplin, and butterfly started metal, and were called metal back then, but sound vastly different then todays metal, how does that make them NOT metal?
