i just read an article that while people are cutting down on driving to deal with rising gas prices, they're not cutting down on their food consumption to deal with rising food prices.

if they're anything like me, it's not really possible to eat less food and remain alive.

By the rationale of 'fat people eat more' wouldnt they naturally pay more taxes simply by buying more food? It's like saying people with emphysema should pay more taxes for cigarretes.

    Silly really

I don't believe it will stop anyone either, but the government is going to get their tax money from somewhere, and I would rather they take it from things no one really needs...instead of things like pads and tampons, because those are apparently a luxury and women buy them for fun...

I make my own junk food, from ingredients that are not taxed :D

I made oatmeal raisin and triple chocolate cookies just yesterday...the chocolate ones didn't spread and I said they looked like turds, but my 6yo was so excited he didn't care, he said they looked like chocolate islands and he even drew a picture of them...:D

I also make cakes, pies, candy, potato chips, caramel popcorn, pancake sypup, chocolate and strawberry milk syrups...if I can find a recipe for it I will make my own.

I will test that theory today. Are we talking about a specific tax here or tax in general?
I have a real good idea that when i stop at the store and get my perishables the price listed is not the price i'll pay.
