It is certainly acceptable to indulge once in a while. But if you haven't eaten fast food for a year, and you go for a meal of this magnitude, prepare to feel like ass. The difference is noticeable within 10-20 minutes upon consumption, from experience. Sure, it tastes good, sure, it has macro nutrients, but really, if you've been healthy for a long time, you tend to feel really good, and even one McD meal will make you feel like absolute dogshit. That experience is what swore me off fast food for good. And there is most certainly a difference between fast food burgers/fries and "proper" ones. I've eaten lots of delicious burgers and fries that did not make me feel like crap.
I can never eat McDonald's...ALWAYS makes me feel sick. Wendy's is similar, but a little better. I like Burger King and Hardee's (Carl's Jr). They actually don't make me feel sick but I definitely feel a little slow afterward.
I can't eat McD's anymore, I literally feels sick when I do, I want to throw up. I'll always have a special place for macca's though, I associate them with my childhood.
Wendy's pushes the cheese and bacon thing. Too spicy for me too. After those places, you'll need this: .
I always think "god i want that so bad" (in regards to fast food) and then an hour later I want to kill myself because I feel gross and bloated. In a perfect world, I would not give in to temptation and I would eat a bowl of delicious fruit salad instead. This world is far from perfect.
Oh man...I loved KFC when I was a kid until I got mild cases food poisoning there multiple times when I was about 12. I pretty much stopped eating it altogether, because our KFC was just so damn disgusting. Then I was veggie for 3 years from 16-19, then I ate at a different KFC and no ill effects. Then just a week and a half ago, we were arguing about dinner and decided to give the one in town another shot, as it had been about 10 years for both of us. And yay! It went down and digested semi-properly! But I really think yesterday was too soon to have it again, because I had air bubbles dancing all over my digestive system all day. It's so good, but oh so bad.
and bad is always so damn good. i tried to go veggie too, but it was just so damn hardcore for me. my organism really craved so badly for meat, no other food could replace it. ah only when i think about it - a nice , juicy steak with french fries and ketchup all over them and a nice milkshake .mmmm damn i can never get enough of this
I have been veg on and off the last few years. I never stuck with it because 1. I constantly crave seafood 2. i just want a steak sometimes. Normally, I don't eat that much meat anyway. It just isn't as appealing to me as most other foods.
Vegetarianism isn't for everyone. Different bloodtypes can absorb different sources of nutrition more effectively. I will assume you are bloodtype O+? Classic meat eater bloodtype. I could never go without meat myself. O+.
Oh lord, I wasn't saying once a year was a bad thing. I was talking about all those that get pulled into the whole fast food ease. I have been there. I know Rat won't. And I know one meal won't. However, it still does not meet my qualifications as food. Sorry.
One of the many problems with fast-food is at least when I was growing up fast food used to be considered a treat.People would go maybe once every 2 weeks or so-even less. And there were alot less of those junk places around. Also their quality has gone down.--Now some people go all the time, and I tell ya you would be off better smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day than patronizing those places on a regular basis.
wholey shit, I would barf if I ate that much food. I guess if you don't indulge a lot, though you deserve to really go for it! I like Subway and Taco Bell's cheese quesidillas and have a huge addiction to lattes and old fashioned donuts from starbucks. I don't really like fries and all that though.
ugh. i got a burger and a salad the other day. i was in hell the rest of the night. but it was totally worth it.
