   The fashion industry could easily be considered a form of mind control in the same way fast food industries are. They perpetuate thoughtless conformity, and propogate that the masses be content with sluggishly bland states of being.
   
   Fashion design, however is an artform and creative outlet in the same sense as any form of visual art.
