yeah, I never saw this, pretty interesting. Great way to go, walking off into the woods, very poetic and beautiful and everything. Probably a bitch to go through with but waaaay better than crumbling apart in some hospital with no soul. Ranger dude, enjoy your non-existence or whatever lies beyond, maybe we'll see you around again sometime. Great life, I can only hope that when it's my turn to go I'll remember this and return to the earth from whence I came....

Damn, I opened this thread thinking someone was announcing retirement from smoking pot, only to find a much graver announcement...

I haven't read any of your posts, that I know of, but I can tell by the way people speak of you that you truly lived... every man dies, as you are about to do, but at least you know that you were one of the few who had a good run. I'm so happy to see someone who is actually satisfied with the life he has led. My grandmother is dying, and it kills me to see all of her anxiety and fear. Deep down, I doubt she is really satisfied with the life she's led... bravo to you for kicking major ass.

My plan is not to smoke until this weekend, when I'm going to my family's river house, taking a huge bong hit, sitting by the river for a few hours, tripping on the astral plane... I will absolutely think of you as I take my sacrament and live my life with passion as you did

 

This is litterally what happened to me. I had been just looking at the forums a little... until i saw a ranger post. Then, I started getting into the forums so mucht that I preached ranger to them.
Now that ranger is gone, i don't have a reason to live.


or at least browse the internet.

If your gone Rangerdanger, you wont see these forums anymore. Not really knowing you, I'll burn one in your honor. Perhaps you may appreciate it; as it seems you favored the good times, in comparison to the bad times. All we have is time, before it runs out like the final grain of sand fallen from a sand timer. People are mortals, and thus we better make the best of the time we have left because one day the time is going to run out. May all the best be with you.

 

I haven't posted in a while, nor have a I received advice from this man, but he seemd to mean a lot to many people. Was a great man. I say some of his posts and threads should be kept on hipforums for people to reference and remember him for as long as we can.

If there is an afterlife, I'm sure he's watching us all, helping us as much as he can from the other side.
