Hey All, I just bought a very old cape cod home in Round Lake Park, Illinois. This area has SOOOOOO much potential to become the next 'Hippie Haven' (and the only one in Illinois) TRUST ME!! Better than any other area I know of...It's in very far northern lake county. Back in the early 1940's and 1950's it was a very popular vacation/resort summer spot. Beautiful, large trees and country, as well as the lakes and beaches! Now it is mostly a 'blue collar' village - 80 percent white, with lower income folks for the most part. This awesome looking town has old, large tree's, and the most 'essentric' people I've seen in some time! Because the town is old and not wealthy, it has fallen into disrepair. There are probably a hundred homes that are sitting here, vacant, and DIRT CHEAP! I bought a 750 square foot two story cape cod house for $25,000. I had to put in only $2,678 to get it in the shape I needed so I can live here!!! It is now valued at $80,000.... I want the ENTIRE hippie community to know THIS is the place to move to ........Love, Peace, One World, One People, One Planet - I believe we can make it happen here! Once we are in force, we can do some very cool things.....Let's make it happen! Contact me directly with any questions seanbrodie@hotmail.com

I am near Rockford, IL and wish there was a community close by. I belong to a shamanic community and they are doing great things for people of like minds. I would like to find more friends nearby to have get togethers. I am in my late thirties with an old soul, but I can keep up with the young souls too People in this area are good but most my age still want to bar hop and that is not my thing. Good food and conversation goes a long way. I am new to the group. Namaste and blessings
