Fifty times! Wow, that sounds terrible. And let me guess, that is definitely happening soon, but you can't be too sure when exactly.
No, I don't know when it's going to happen because I don't have a crystal ball. I only know that it is DEFINITELY going to happen, and probably sooner than later.
My sentiments exactly, and if these people are protesting the bailouts I'm with them, but if I understand the situation correctly, it's corporate lobbyists within the GOP that have spearheaded this tea party campaign.
Wow, cold hearted! Well then again california is a long way from NYC. Trust me this "boogeyman" is real and I hope for your sake you never experience what I and my friends and family have. Are you really in your 50's?????? Dont let your hatred for either of political parties cloud your judgment any furthur.
No one denies the threat of terrorism, particularly in the context of 911, but the bush administration exaggerated the threat and projected it on Iraq as an excuse for criminal exploitation on a massive scale so that a few chosen individuals could profit immensely, while manipulating the public's fear as a justification to impose autocratic rule and human rights violations.
Personally, I deny the threat of outside terrorism (at least the way the media portrays it). I believe that pretty much all grand scale terrorism is state-sponsored. Really, it's not even a matter of believing -- the evidence supports it. But I look at the Bush administration and what they did in Iraq, then I look at Obama doing something very similar by launching attacks into Pakistan, sending more troops to Afghanistan, and provoking other countries with his rhetoric. So what is Obama doing other than taking the war in Iraq and moving it into Afghanistan?
Thank you, that was what I was getting at. Agreed, it's disgusting, but again Obama's doing his presidential job of handing our money to the folks who got him there, some things never change. I like to think it's a little early in the game yet to expect Obama to change the destructive momentum of our current course and cut back on subsidies to the banks and military spending, but I'm beginning to lose my patience. I don't know if I'm more afraid of the precedent of violating rights to privacy in the name of terrorism, or the fact that so many American citizens seem indifferent, or believe that because they are not terrorists themselves, they have nothing to worry about.
I'm skeptical of the motivation behind it, but regardless, if the politicians are listening, maybe it's a start.
Well, they were heavily backed by the corporate media and think tanks like the Heritage Foundation. I have no doubt most of the people that attended the tea parties were genuine in their beliefs, but I think there is an ulterior motive based on marginalizing and demonizing -- basically hijacking -- what could be a genuine oppostion to government tyranny.
