faith/ religion

hey all i started something like this on happyhippie's forums.... i'm hoping it'll be recieved more openly here.

so anyway i wanted to start a thread where us hippies who are cool with God couyld come in and chat and b.s. about different stuff like what He's done for us and His impact on our lives.
also intended to have , in the same thread, the oppurtunity for lost sheep looking for a home to become found sheep living in the light and peace of our Lord. i always welcome anyone with an open mind and heart. and i do ask that all who become involved in this thread try not to judge and please remember that noone is perfect. we have all sinned before and we will all backslide a little bit.. i backslide quite often.... so if ya got questions and ya need answers or ya just need help getting through a hard time...... come in and ask...... may God be with you and bless your hearts so that you all may see Hios light and peace..... amen.

 

not that I'm not cool with it, even tho my allegiance is to the heathen gods... But there is a christianity forum for this...

or at least the general philosphy/religion forum if you dont care what God the epopel talk about...

in here, this thread would probobly get derailed so fast...

 

yeah, well... 1 or maybe max two pages and this thread would be about marshmellows, crackers or something someone said...

 

marshmellows is nasty.....and yes maybe it is a good idea to go into the forum for religion

 

there are also very few people in here who would go past being purely agnostic...

yeah, well, i would agree with lakshens point, move the thread dude. And as trev says, you have plenty agnostics and atheists around.

I mean, if I'm happy being an atheist, what can you really offer me? Do they have good drink specials in heaven?

 

Hell yeah, the marshmallows club.. we could list the thousands of ways to eat 'em too... yay!

 

I think that a religious dude has just as much right to tell me God exists as i do to tell them they dont. But many people trying to "convert" me have disagrred. which sucks. I think all i can say is i dont believe god exists, but i cant say he doesnt. although the ontological argument is interesting... (but flawed )

 

one time me and my friend and her sister were sitting outside of skool and this guy walked up to us and asked if we knew what was gonna happen to us after we died. turns out he was trying to convert us...

he is kinda nice though, he buys food from the cafeteria and gives it away

 

an 8 year old little girl DIED today..
do you know how many people were 'praying' for her?
there are signs everywhere....everyone was asking everyone to PRAY for her...
NOW tell me prayer works..

 

why would you pray if she's already dead?

 

they prayed for her not to die..

 

well that's dumb... if she was meant to die she was gonna die. duh.
