I WONT EVER HAVE A SHEEPBOOK ACCOUNT AND IM GETTING PRETTY NERVOUS BEING AROUND SOMEONE WHO HAS A SMART PHONE WITH THIS CRAP ON IT!!!!


This is just their way of telling the users that they are doing this so that they can say yes we are using peoples cameras and microphones in the hope that more serious questions can be allayed before they are even asked!! (But most everyone on FB is a SHEEPLE and doesnt care about thier privacy.. BUT THEY ARE PUTTING THOSE OF US THAT DO @ RISK ALSO BEING AROUND THEM WITH THIS GARBAGE!!)

Who asked you if you did? Is it like 'Shazam', because if it is (and it sounds as if it is) then you and 'Prison Planet' etc characterising it as 'spying' is quite amusing.

 

So android spyware is pretty hot right now. The fact that they've made dvelopment so easy combind and the.just sheer number of devices. Though speciifically Android has had SE linux since honeycomb. With that and the android sandboxxing, android 'malware' usually just runs at the specific application layer. That means it asks permissions for evverything it's doing. This includes facebooks appliction here.My own reccomendation is to use iptables to block in applications that are spywareish. This way I can use adobe acrobat at peace.

 

fuck that, and i bet lots of people will still use facebook with the mentality "oh well, there's nothing I can do about it, other people can do whatever they want with my computer and there's nothing you can do about it so who cares"

otoh, spyware has been around for decades .. nothing too new, except the scope of people maybe effected. Facebook is a convenient medium to distribute this bullshit

 

i actually just deactivated my account.... friend and coworker drama related, but glad i dis, and perhaps it may stay that way.

 

I still have a Facebook account myself and I still use it however the more I see regarding Facebook the more I consider getting rid of my account and not going back, it sure is a shame to be honest as with many we have now used Facebook for so long and have got in contact with friends and family who live away from us and it's a great way to stay in touch but with things like this can we really trust them anymore?
