you couldn't even buy a computer you didn't have to build yourself until i was 29. that was in 77 when the started selling 8-bit toys in the stores. before that you had to build them from kits. and before 1970, you couldn't even buy a single chip cpu in quantities of less then a thousand. so it wasn't until i was in my late 30s that there even was an internet. but that's ok. when my parents were little, the still had horses pulling delivery wagons in cities. and i'm not talking about india or argentina. i mean in the u.s. we still had plenty of trains and buses when i was growing up, and it didn't cost you anything to go for a walk out in the woods and take your sketch book with you and sit a nice flat rock and say hi to all the little furry things that lived out there. 300 baud dial up, with acoustic couplers, because ma bell wouldn't let you plug anything that wasn't theirs directly into their system. compuslurve, the dow, and local are dial up, backwater and the bit bucket. 1 mhz cpu's and 8k of ram. and audio cassette drives to save programs written in spagetti basic. and it was fun, because it wasn't all about people trying to make everything have to be about money.
Not "those"...Ownage pranks is a one man show. A very cool guy who has several different characters. If you have some time to kill on youtube and are looking for a giggle, I highly recommend watching some of his vids.
My first time on a computer...ever...was just 15 years ago. So I went 40 years with no internet....or cell phone for that matter.
