This is the first serious move since Biden got into office, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Basically, the Pentagon has been preparing for WWIII, with Amazon moving into Crystal City so they can share drones and AI, and Google owing half the internet servers and moving in with them as well. Sony got caught installing cameras into their TVs for the Pentagon to spy on people with, while everyone in the industry has been steadily preparing to use AI to censor the entire web. They are shooting for the lowest common denominator, with Facebook promoting conspiracy theorists over legitimate political work, so they can divide and conquer. Once you get all the idiots arguing over who's in charge around here, money does all the talking, and this is what the US government is shooting for, money telling everyone else what to believe.

There's nothing outlandish to it. The international cartels will fund anything that makes money and won't get them killed. You can call Monsanto the devil all you want, but the cartels will fund their competition if they go bankrupt, and will fund whoever is the most ruthless among them. They are doing the same thing with the internet and mass media, with Fox News legally being entertainment, and allow to spout even the most egregious lies. The only thing preventing Fox from declaring Covid a hoax, is they know they would be immediately torn apart and sold to the highest bidder.

By destroying the legitimacy of existing news organization, the cartels and the US government can move in and take over. Its the cartel's usual strategy of divide and conquer. If I told you bankers and Wall Street traders destroyed the entire world economy committing widespread fraud and never served a day in jail, you wouldn't call that nonsense, and the sad fact is nobody is talking about the banks or the cartels or the fact half the US is demanding a dictatorship. Nobody is demanding the truth, nobody is demanding real news, nobody is promoting the truth or real news, and the internet is becoming nothing more than a chat room for complete idiots.
