If someone asked me to describe my most recent salvia trip in 2 words all I'd be able to say is f*ck knows. Infact, if I was given as many words as I wanted to describe my most recent trip all I'd be able to say is f*ck knows.

I have no idea what happened, but I felt unconscious (to an extent) and just swam through my mind. In my head loads of different thoughts (can't remember what about), were talking to me. They were in the voices of people I knew, mainly my work colleagues, and it just all seemed normal. I have no idea how much time was spent doing this, I had no recollection of time. I came out of that place and was head down with eyes closed (I think), with mouth wide open, being drawn to one side. For some reason my mouth does that when I trip on salvia as I've noticed.

I'm trying to think of more words to describe my experience but I literally can't.

After the main trip I felt stupid and couldn't think straight. Like I had forgotten how to be in reality and do the things I have been doing all my life. I have also noticed that I always get this retarded aftermath feeling after tripping.

From hearing about other people's experiences with salvia they physically hallucinate, but this is yet to happen to me. It's always just completely in the mind, no physical alterations to reality, just mind.

Please, share your experiences with me :)

might just be a difference in how they describe their trips. for me...i didn't really get visuals like i do on other "normal" psychedelics, but i also couldn't see any of reality or the room i was in. i was completely in another place, and that is all i "saw," but it was only in my mind, not a vivid open eye visual. but i don't even know if my eyes were open or closed.

Ahh! I'm not the only one then :) That's basically the kind of state I was in.

My first Salvia Breakthrough I smoked up on a hill with a few friends/sitters. I tried closing my eyes with the Salvia coming on but the Salvia gravity got to me and I felt extreme sense of vertigo so I opened them as I fell back and was writhing on the ground, not sure if they remained open the whole trip. The dimension I perceived to enter was constructed of complex mechanical fractal gears which I got integrated into, some gigantic 'horse' entity (closest approximation in language I can give, it didn't really look like a horse) seemed to reside over this area and would survey it, I got fairly scared when it got near my section And felt like I had to do something but it didn't seemed concerned with my presence, more like it expected 'me' or whatever I was composed of to be in that grid. The area was much more vast then what I was perceiving, The sky felt domed or something and encapsulating, really intense.stuff.

I pretty much always get some degree of visuals with Salvia, some trips significantly more intricate and ornate then others.

As of now, I don't believe there is any Hallucinogen that will produce physical alterations to reality, (sans the effect on brain/body) nor do I think there is many that would argue that. Those who hold more of a mystical view of the Salvia Divinorum experience would likely contend some legitimacy to the perceptions and hallucinations which they may attribute as residing in an alternate dimension or in the spirit plane. I know for myself, some of my Salvia Divinorum trips seem to be coming from somewhere well outside the self, as it pretty thoroughly dissolves my ego and most notions of reality.

However, I can relate with the F*ck knows assessment of the Salvia trip. :D

I know what you mean with the gravity thing, I feel like something is pulling me down (all over the place really) when on salvia. Actually, sometimes it feels like I'm being pulled apart into nothing. I get this feeling that I can just lean back and I'll open up in to many pieces of myself. After this, I am just my conscious mind in this weird world full of my thoughts speaking to me, always talking to me of things that I have recently done, or am about to do. They explain how I should evaluate these things that I have done, and prepare for the things that I'm about to do. It's very calming, I feel like lots of "things" are inside me, guiding me to do the right thing. I think that's the best way I can explain it.

I can also relate to your "horse observer". While it didn't feel like a whole entity as such, one of my t-shirts that was hung up in my room was observing me, almost marking me on the things I was doing. This is a separate trip to the one I talk about in this thread.

Also, looking back now I remember that objects in the corner of my eye sight looked like a God-Like woman as I walked passed them, like she was guiding me and welcoming me. As I was walking through the rooms in my house it was like she was there welcoming me to each new room I entered. Of course, she wasn't there, she was just in my head, but I got a good and loving aura from her.

I'm glad you can relate to the "f*ck knows" (are we allowed to swear on these forums? - I should read the rules). The way I have described it is the best I could do, but man there was so much more that words simply can't describe.

Also, for future reference, how do I quote certain parts of a post?

For on site quotes hit the quote button and it'll highlight the quote, which it appears you understand. If you are only trying to respond to a specific section, then erase the rest of the post but leave the open quote / close quote around the part(s) you are responding. Try to avoid quote mining...please..

If you want to break a passage up to respond to individual points in a post, then you need to open quote / close quote each part you're responding to. Use the middle quotations button to the right of quote if you are responding to multiple people, for the last person you respond to hit quote.

For Outside quotes, most provide a brief description and/or source and then open quote/close quote the passage they are responding to.

Thanks for killing 2 birds with 1 stone. I like your style.

And yeah, this is the way I thought, but thought there may have been a button that quotes only a certain sentence from a post, which is what I meant.

nope, but the multi-quote button is useful.

and there's no easy way to break up someone's long posts into multiple quotes in order to respond to each part separately. but when you copy and paste, or type the
...it looks a lot cooler :)
