Extracting Psilocybin

Is there a way to extract psilocybin from mushrooms?
I'd really like to have the great shroom trip without all the nausea and such.

I also heard you can put some mushrooms into honey and you can just eat the honey. Im not sure about all the specifics on that one though

 

i've heard that too about honey, it is supposed to turn purple or something...

I used to make mushroom honey all the time. It works great, just brew it up or slap some on an english muffin and you're ready to go. I remember my test subject didn't even believe me and ended up ditching me for some potential pussy. Thing's didn't work out for him, to say the least, too bad.Only slight drawback is that you have to wait for days for the honey to properly saturate itself. Try and saturate it with as much psilocybin as possible, for best effects...

 

whats better to use for honey...fresh or dry shrooms? will any honey work? can you let shrooms sit in any liquid for amount of time and will it extract the psilocybin?

 

Realize that NO extraction is 100% efficent.

The shrooms MUST be dried, and AFAIK, any kind of honey will work.

Psilocybin will extract into just about any polar liquid, but honey is a good medium because it prevents bacterial growth and spoilage. It also has a slightly acidic pH, which helps the psilocybin go into solution.

 

are you serious you can just soak the shrooms in honey and then eat the honey? that's fucking awesome. how much honey should i use for an oz of shrooms?

Just wanted to tahnk you for putting that link up there and for the info on blue honey....I freakin love the thought a a psychadelic peanutbutter and honey sandwich. A little testing is certainly in order...I wonder if Maple Syrup would work too.

and how long do you wait...how do you know its all extracted???

 

Put them in any mildly acidic solution, and you will extract psilocybin. You will NEVER get a 100% extraction with a technique this simple, though.

 

ya, white vinegar doesn't seem to set my taste buds straight. but then....i suppose it could be evaporated off. I think I ran into an article that mentioned using lemon juice

 

that blue honey does sound really good! I'll have to try that when the next batch of boomers hits the town can't wait

 

Sounds like too much work to me... I've never had a problem eating the things...
