Experience with Google AppSheets?

Hi there,
does anyone here worked with AppSheets yet? It was bought and integrated recently into Google Sheets and I was thinkin of using it with mySQL and PostgreSQL as my data source for some projects. Tryin to compare it with Aiven for mySQL as collegues and friends are recommending it frequently. My problem are of course its costs and I'm not sure if its compatible with our smaller projects - so a free service like AppSheets would be neat. but if anyone here has some counterarguments - please let me know!

Alphabet Inc (Google's mommy) continues to gobble up great independent projects and does something with them that troubles many of us who have been developing and dealing with Google since its inception.

If you value security, personal privacy, respect for intellectual property, and, above all, a peaceful (non-militaristic) world, I would recommend rethinking using any Google/Alphabet "products/services".

This is just my opinion.

I have been "dealing with" Google since it's creation - professionally developing for the web since 1995, and commercial programming for IT since 1976.

"Open Source" / "Public Commons" is what morally consistent modern Hippies would choose today.
