When I worked in an animal shelter we would sometimes see wolf/dog hybrids. They never licked me like that picture. They would just tolerate me. But it was interesting to hear them howl when every other resident would bark.

Tonight as I was in the room beside the kitchen coloring, I suddenly heard Mama banging on the door that leads out to the porch. Next thing I know I hear Mama going out there...and I was up like a shot. She was going to MAKE a raccoon leave. lordhavemercy When I first arrived, the raccoon was at the door, peering into the porch but when it saw me, it was gone. whoosh!

It looked like Princess was planning on just sitting up high in her place and looking down at that dang raccoon for the endurance (thank goodness).

I've been shutting that door every night around 9, with both cats on the porch. That raccoon came early tonight.

I saw that video with the big wolf and the smallish woman on fb a little while back, and I thought there is NO WAY she and that wolf didn't previously know each other...even though the caption I remember reading said it was a surprise.

That would have to be a little scary since he could bite her whole face off with one big snap!

Yes, I have been coloring. I got one of those adult coloring books (pictures suitable for framing! :D lol) and 2 sets of colored pencils. By far, the Crayola pencils are best. I intend to go to one of the craft places here and see what other colored pencil sets there are.

This is something I quite enjoy and find I'm very pleased with the results.

I realize I may well be the only person that will ever enjoy these pictures. For whatever reason I like being able to see these pictures and know that I didn't do just NOTHING but peruse the internet and clean up the kitchen...and fool with cats on the porch. :)

edit: I left out listening, doing and fetching for Mama. I HAVE TO DO MORE THAN THAT.

We tried putting boots on my dog because of the cold, but he hated them so we stopped. -40C and a 10 lbs dog do not work well together haha.

I've been known to spoil my pets, but shoes on a dog is just silly.

On the last Modern Family the two of the parents eat edibles. The whole thing is a joke and not one of those serious sitcom episodes where they play the Adriatic music and everyone has a group hug at the end. It was a far cry from the sort of TV that was on when I first discovered pot like this gem.

Just, with the domesticated dog deriving from the wolf species, I mean take a look at what they thrive in.

I knew a woman around here that bought her dog a electric blanket for dogs. Lol. Omg. She ended up in tears because it cost a lot and her dog just ate it up.

I've never, ever heard of a dog freezing to death around here, and we get cold in the alps and the valleys where the freeze breeze comes through. As long as it's got family care, and not 24/7 out in the freeze to fend for itself, I think they pretty much thrive in the cool. I know mine does. Anything 25°C or more and he's very lethargic, panting, hot and bothered. -10° and snow, best day ever. :D

I bet even a smaller dog would like it too, hell even my rabbits thrive in the freeze.

Hrmm. Never heard of that. Do they look odd. I probably wouldn't notice but now that you've told me that's all I'd probably ever see. Lol.

I think you just need to watch that the nails are clipped and prevented from growing in a circle and back into the skin.
