Everybody Eat Poutine!

    Ah, yes

    Thanks to the power of Wikipedia, I am now much more knowledgable of the 'poutine'.

    I'm not a fan of brown gravy, though. :)

    Ohh ohh how about this. Eat some yummy yummy poutine, and have a big ol' mug of poteen (Irish moonshine) with it. Afterwards go get some poo-tang. Oooohh goody.

    O I loves it..the best poutine is found out east...I remember my first poutine..visitting in ontario when I was 9..and all those crazy lil french fry venders. insane lol.. A&W makes poutine with the cheese curd..but most restraunts use mozza cheese...I think I prefer the mozza...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    oooo here in pa in a couple diners they call those "disco fries". I have no idea why.

    Well I'm from Pittsburgh and I ain't never seen no "disco fries" We eat rogies in Pittsburgh, and not just plain rogies either. We do weird shit with 'em. We've got rogie spaghetti, rogie pizza, rogie salad, deep fried rogies, everything but rogie ice cream and rogie breakfast cereal; and somebody will probably make those too one of these days.

    Yup, same thing as perogies. Rogies and football and steel all from Pittsburgh. Well there is only one steel mill left, and football, umm well ROGIES!! Woohoo, we still have the best rogies.

    they actually originated in eastern europe....

    poles may have been the first to make them....

    lol over here on the other side we don't do anything special with rogies and I've never heard of or tried any of that! Strange... so close yet so different?

    they're called disco fries if they use american cheese or marinara sauce. mom used to make something like that when i was little. gravy fries with sausage gravy was good, too. fries are justs a vehicle for other stuff.

    when I wa sin crete ....I gues its the year before last now... I got a gyros..came with fries. decide we should eat fine cuisine and ordered wht the proprieter reccomended....twas a platter of meat...goat kabobs, ribs, beef, and prok...om a layer of fries.........that wa sit...but it came with a shot of "Greek Whiskey" at the end of the meal....I think it was Ouzo.......luckily I didnt get drug tested shortly after.......

    When were you in Crete? I was there the year before last, maybe we were there at the same time, that would be freaky. Oozo is nasty, tasts like liquid licorish, raki is fabulous though.
