while these are excellent songs mate (I love this note's for you ) they don't seem to have a " songs about war" vibe or am i missing something

 

I was thinking protest songs in general, not any specific problem. Guess I should go back and read your first post.

this^ i never could remember the names of the songs but i always prefered donavan to dillan. dillan did some great and wonderful stuff, no doubt of it. donavan just always seemed more real.

the weavers, the traviling willberries, pete seegar, the guthries, woody and arlo. so on and so on.

this one, is like we're right back to almost the same place now. before, when this song was new, it was mccarthyism and racism. those things you know, any more people realize are shameful and they hide them, but its many of the same effect are there. ideologies and beliefs make the excuses, but its always the greed that is real the motivation.
