I'm not really impressed by any of the Italian team, nor the portugese team. I like teams that play football. If Zidane wasn't sent off, that cup would have been in France and they definately deserved it much more than the Italians.
I'm proud to say that the English at least play proper football.

Something has happened to the Italian game lately.. It used to be so stylish...

The national side play as though they are panic-stricken that they are not the world's best anymore...

I do like the French when they have that Gallic belief...

But England have only a tiny amount of what each other European national side focus on.. Germany with it's precision, France with it's gall, Portugal with it's gutsy performances, and Italy with it's obvious understand ing and skill....

I just wish we understood the game! We invented it!

Oh, and France does get my vote..

This is so true about England. They don't play dirty, but they don't play well at the end of the day!

I must admit, I really wasn't into footbal until the world cup started. I still think Rugby's a much better sport, but I like the unity that football brings and the game's not that bad either... :p

I used to play it, so I'm well into it. I think it's more interesting to watch than football, but it's just not as universal.

It's interesting, because they don't score 100 points in each mach. Do you think, for instance, handball are more interesting than football? I hate handball. They run up and down, up and down. The audience get just as confused as if they were audience to some tennis match. I don't understand handball. :p

And when the first team run up, they always score. And when the other team run down, they also always score. I really don't get that game...
In difference to handball for instance, football is a strategic game. Games based on strategy is much more intersting than games based on raw power... :)

And I have heard that in some parts of Sweden, it is customary to piss on your team mates after a game of Handball. Just doesn't sound too appealing to me :p

meh I never said I liked handball :p We only score one point per game in karate (if even), but the matches aren't that long :p
I just said that football players should score a bit more if they wanted to make it interessting...
And there isn't much more tactics in football than any other sports...

I hear that American Football is very tactical/strategic, although it just looks stupid to me. Rugby forever :)
