Euphoria Gone

Yeah, I used to be able to pop a single perc and get super fucked up... Nodding and everything but then as time passed it lessened to the point where I wouldn't nod, I'd just pass out and not dream at all, and my euphoria was gone completely.

I don't know if it's possible to get that feeling back without an extremely long break. I've gone on breaks for 6 months and still couldn't get the same euphoria and nodding that I did when I was just starting out.

Now that I'm on methadone (now at 18mg and dropping 1mg per MONTH) I don't feel any euphoria from ANY opiates. Methadone just sort of robs you of the best opiate effects and I just end up tired and out of it.

If anyone does find a way to go back though please let me know lol I'd really appreciate it!

 

Only problem with a long enough break is that I can only imagine that say you went 2 years without an opiate or maintenance drug. Then you took a 10MG Hydrocodone (no way I'd start with Percs simply because the buzz off hydro is a much better high IMO) and you get that nice warm euphoria that got us hooked in the first place. If you found that you could dose say once, like SAT only, you might be able to maintain a low enough tolerance to be a weekend warrior and get some enjoyment out of it. But who the hell is going to only buy 10-20mgs of hydro a week. That perfect euphoric feeling brings with it a nasty desire to want more and its damn hard to ignore it! Tolerance is a necessary evil with good and bad properties. The good being if you are strong enough, once you stop getting that great high, you quit, but most know thats not how it goes most of the time!

 

Hey blues hope alls well. Ive had the same thing, I notice when I go on a longer run I loose all euphoria, and it wont come back till after a long sober break. Ive been sober for about 4 months now so lets see how it feels when I indulge!

 

From what Ive been told from many people, this is not just the case with Opiate use, Ive heard people say the same thing about crack, meth, and even cocaine eventually. Basically the first time is the best and you never reach that same experience again..which SUCKS!!!

I remember the days when 2 vicodin 7.5 would put him into heaven for 3 hours or more!! but now, would be lucky to even feel it if they took a whole bottle of vicodins.

It also makes him laugh when he watches the news and they are doing a story about vicodin abuse and they claim it is such a powerful and dangerous narcotic..LOL
