Here's the thing: Magick doesn't deny Science. Science does deny Magick, however. But a rejuvenation is upon the era.
It's really important information cat. I'm telling you, I've studied kundalini, Taoist chi kung, meridian theory, and this is what they are getting at. This is the rejuvenation. It's not about rituals and incantations, it's about practical knowledge and understanding. Here's the thing, who cares who denies who, it's not about that. There's only value is what you take within yourself. I really don't care what you do, but the magic versus science thing brings no value.
I just find it funny how the data had been interpreted. I don't know much about statistics, but it seems like their conclusions about belief vs. non-belief are sitting on sort of fragile ground. With such a small sample of size of people who actually answered which tea they thought it was, the statistical analysis' powers are reduced. If I am not mistaken, you should have minimum 30 people in most statistical analysis.. with these calculations I believe they are pretty much just pushing 30 samples per calculation. The problem is that I don't know enough about statistics to look at this paper and have it mean anything. Also, if you'd read the paper you would have seen that these scientists reference a similar type of study using chocolate instead of tea. So it's not the first study of its kind. Once again you are pushing your own dichotomy here - not all scientists are disbelievers in everything. It's just that you don't know about all the research going on. Also, experiments using crystals as tools for diffraction, and using tools to study crystal structure are very old in the scientific world indeed. Certainly not a first to be using crystals in an experiment.
it's natural to think crystals might have some interesting and unusual properties because of their interesting and unusual appearance and of course they do, mostly because of the same properties that make them appear to be crystals. nothing "magical" tho, it's just physics, and crystals are just highly ordered materials.
I think dendritic constructions are a type of biological crystal. Neurological activity in the brain could be observed as lighting up in facets or areas as opposed to specific cellular locations. One of the physical attributes of crystals is that when used as transducers they reproduce faithfully the information time after time, for example a quartz crystal used in a time piece. In terms of dendritic routes information follows the same path time after time creating a consistently organized picture. That picture is plastic to the extent that you are able to re-frame the apprehension of stimulus through conscious effort or exercising the power to conceive or the ability to think.
http://www.sciencealert.com/world-first-evidence-suggests-that-meditation-alters-cancer-survivors-cells (link works now) So since this is a breakthrough Scientifically speaking...can we get back to what the essential difference is between Prayer Healing, Placebo, and the effects of Meditation? And why would Meditation have an effect on your life but not Ritual? As far as I am concerned, this study is one step closer to the Scientific verification of Kundalini.
Yes of course a mind- body connection exists, thats nothing new, but did any of those scientists bother to verify what 'meditation' actually is, and /or if the group does it properly? Very difficult to quantify. Tell me what meditation is to you and I'll probably tell you something different about my personal meditative experiences. lotta different kinds of yoga too. (wiki) bhakti-yoga means "devoted attachment" in the monotheistic Bhakti movement. "Don't worry, be happy" could be all there really is to it you know.
Meditation offers benefits to the extent you meditate. If your mediation is consistently mindfulness then you are consistently affected that way. Ritual has the habit of being taken up and put down according to convenient circumstance. A ritual is a teacher and a good teachers aim is to be no longer needed in any circumstance. The power of your attention is never idle.
If you read through the link I provided (it's a tough read I know) you will see one of the things they are getting at is that we are liquid crystal beings and knowing that liquid crystal has memory and can be programed, it's not so far fetched to believe that we can program ourselves through meditation.
Ritual is to meditative practice what acupuncture is to chi kung/ kundalini practice. Acupuncture is Chi kung for dummies. Ritual is meditation for dummies. No offense intended
It has an effect. Not beneficial as it was applied to me. It was to my greatest relief to eventually deny treatment.
maybe you did not have an expert in the field? i was lucky to have one of the best in the field. Someone doing ground breaking treatments for many diseases including incurable ones. My acupuncture was given to me when I had crippling lyme's diseases, and nothing else worked...months of western medicine only going to do damage to my organs if I kept that up.....Eastern methods....herbs and acupuncture cured me. i am a firm believer in it...with experts who know what they are doing.
Yes acupuncture can work, I'm not denying that, but you can do the same thing within yourself without the needles.
