I agree with Mckenna that amanitas form a poor choice of theoretical mushroom for these purposes; psilocybin is much more likely. It's notoriously difficult to get a meaningful high off amanitas, mckenna tried himself and never got one, same with me.
Probably lost in oral transmission of the ancient methods, but amanitas were probably mixed with something else.
There're some Interesting experiences on Erowid.. I've heard a lot about the unsuccessful amanita trips which is why I haven't pursued them, never really felt like having a feverish dream but there are some profound glimpses listed below. I'm assuming a lot of it has to do with the method of deciphering, I get the sense the main difference between amanita and psilocybe are that psilocybe are a much more animalistic in the sense they're relentless in devouring your bullshit and picking your carcass clean to the bone. The concept I have about amanita's makes them appear to be like a kind of stroke, with essential principles washing over you in a haze. https://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=19200 https://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=33297 https://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=21153 And Suggestive at best From https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=23253 True..
Ahh yeah, semilanceata have an interesting flavour to the experience that differs from cubensis. Much darker and heavier I found, not as clear but just as profound. I was actually shocked when I had my first cubes cos they were so god damn colourful it seemed more like a sedated LSD experience.
Semilanceata is the second most potent species next to azurescens by dry weight. The psycho active properties of the semilanceata are the most stable, meaning that they retain potency better than other types. Mushroom experiences can be interpreted differently from experience to experience even when ingesting the same variety depending on a variety of factors. The greatest advantage I see in cubensis is that they are propagated in sterile medium unless of course you collect them from the field.

I think we get the effects that we expect. I think the chaotic appearance of the world comes from the undecided mind about what our choices in life are. We choose to follow a path for many reasons but we may always find a reason to back away from a choice unless that choice is made because it is true or the only reasonable choice available. That is we may start down a path and then become distracted by some brilliance or pain in the moment and forget the conclusion we had previously come to. I've said this before and bears repeating that when thought word and deed are consistent in every sense or any clime then we can see the results that are possible in a consistent fashion. As it stands we are not convinced of the level of our own participation in manifesting the world we perceive. We are convinced that things just happen to us.
There are those who make things happen there are those who watch things happen and then there are those who ask what happened ....
It's interesting, considering they rearranged some of the questionnaires and only selected particular ones from the general templates, makes the findings slightly dubious to me.
Interesting that the people who do not believe the tea they are drinking was treated (when it was) show such a decline in mood. Whereas those who believe they are not drinking treated tea, and get untreated tea are relatively baseline in mood. When they say belief, they mean what the subjects said on day 7 when they had finished their tea treatment. (Note that they had finished drinking the tea on day 3 - they record emotional results until day 7). So it is interesting that the people who did not have an experience pointing to treated tea, when they got treated tea, fared so much worse than those who did not have an experience pointing to treated tea when it was in fact untreated. Also, it's kind of funny that 101 of 189 subjects had experiences that resulted in no guess as to whether their tea was treated or not.
Isn't any interpretation only your own selective consciousness looking for whatever you're looking for? Whether it be a flaw or an affirmation? Isn't this what's being considered for the first time by Scientists, and is also the fundamentals of Magick? My vibe is...interesting that Scientists are even studying the potentials. Humans are a kind of liquid crystal...collagen more specifically, with peizo-electric property's. Here's possible dissect-able proof for the meridian system, and chi energy. Kundalini energy is based on the same theory's of Chi energy and the meridian system. Acupuncture utilizes meridian theory. liquid crystal has memory you know, and can be 'programmed' Magic(k) becoming science, China cat...you had to know it would happen eventually. Science, mang Probably the most profound discovery of our time...perhaps of all time to the present. http://www.i-sis.org.uk/lcm.php
