What do you normally listen to? I grew up.on Vietnam war soundtracks so I've always like rock and roll. But I pride myself on being able to listen to and enjoy lots of music from classical to country to brutal slamming gutteral death metal
I don't listen to anything anymore. Musicians are too self-absorbed. And, as wild as they are rumored to be, they all follow the status quo. Even punk musicians, which is what I used to listen to. I was raised on the Beatles. I used to love them. I mean, I heard them so much they seemed like friends. Then I learned what they were really all about. Even preaching peace and love...yeah, I'm sure it was all good until someone came asking you why you drive a Bentley. Just don't take our money and our fame. Blah. They're all the same. Premadonnas.

I forgot about sanatarium. Only reason I don't like disposable hero's is it goes for too long IMO. Which is a complaint I have about the band tbh lol. I also didn't care for their whiskey and the jar. They completely butchered it to me. I can't even listen to it anymore it's just so wrong.
And I think I liked the garage cd cause I was only like 15 or whatever so I'd never heard of like motorhead and diamond head before and that album introduced me to other bands. So I guess that why I like Metallica, they've been very inspirational for me.
I could subsitute "Battery" on there or a few other shorter songs and be as content with the list, But "Disposable Heroes" is pretty much perfection for Thrash Metal imo and what came to mind. I enjoy the length of the songs of their prime, rarely do they feel without purpose, the riffs have an unyielding quality to them but there are still dynamics within the music.
