I believe it was called the Lupanar, if you must know. I'll spare you the dirtiest of the pictures there. But FYI, if you must know, here is the Wikipedia article on it: Lupanar (Pompeii) - Wikipedia I just have one question. And I put it here, because I believe it is a historical one. Why are all the prostitutes in these drawings wearing a covering on their breasts? I guess these could just be the least dirtiest ones. So that is why they are usually shown. But I think it is pretty typical of all the drawings there. Because to-date, I have never seen an exception to the rule. I mean, they are in every sexual position imaginable. And pardon my French, but they are already f*cking, without contraception no less. So why would they have to apparently always cover their breasts for their clients? Just asking. I really want to know, and do not mean to offend either. I think it is a good question really. Thank you in advance for your kindly replies.
Maybe it's to signify that these ladies were of finer quality. In history, it became a sign of class to cover the breasts (i.e. slaves and peasants were bare breasted).
maybe they thought that pregnancy was transmitted through the breasts and this was their contraception.
