I find that Erotic book are more thrilling and make me super excited, way more than porn. What are your thoughts?

Most of the times your thought is right but not all time.

Hmm, I think I am too visual. I love reading but when it comes to sexuality, I prefer seeing rather than imagining.

Couldnt agree more...I think a big percentage of women are more mentally stimulated and men more physical.

What's a good example of one erotic book better than any porn?

Or you've just been all trained to think thats true

Or the context of what 'excited' actually means isnt the same

Books are definitely better than porn. The theater of the mind trumps graphic visual displays most every time.

I couldn't agree more. I think there is a gender difference, a lot of men prefer visual erotica, while women prefer the written word. For me it's rather awkward to watch porn, even though there is some good stuff out there. Still, I prefer a sexy story over porn any time. ;)

I prefer porn generally, erotic lit is ok but as a male I'm a visual creature and that's what mostly does it for me.

Literotica web site is a brilliant, clean repository of every type of erotic writing.
I've found you have to be careful with erotica online.
Whereas you have to try considerably hard to accidentally stumble on kiddy porn, in pornographic literature online you can do so all too easily.

My late wife and I watched Playboy television together. She also read tons of erotic books on her Kindle.

She told me that reading the erotic books made her juices flow much more than watching Playboy television.

I once looked at all the Kindle charges on our credit card...... I didn't care in the least bit. It paid off in the bedroom ten fold.

Playboy is only R rated movie shows though right?

I never got R rated film. They show boobs but block out the sex. I went straight for X rated films when I was 16.

Playboy programming shows MF and FMF penetration ( 1,2 and 3 )
MF close up oral, FF close up oral ( just the girls), F masturbation.

Absolutely no Male cum shots of any kind shown.
Absolutely no Male happy ending vulgarity towards the Female(s)

This is probably why Playboy Television appeals to more of the Married wife or Gf watching with a man or alone

I actually think you and your Laura might like some of the Playboy programming.

I agree. It's the sexual tension that does it for me. In porn, the beginning scenes are always so cheesy you have to skip right past it. In an erotic book, it entices you to stay for the ride. That's why I write them now

  19. Reading erotica, like most other good stories, allows you to understand the mental state that goes along with the physical action. It's sharing the anticipation, the excitement, the desire of the characters that enhances the stories for me.

The problem, for me, is that there don't seem to be a lot of erotic books out there written for men. I read a lot of Hotwife and Swinger books, but its mainly because of how the sex scenes are written. I'm not into the ones that involve humiliation/cleanup at all. (If anyone can recommend some erotic books for men that do not involve Hotwives or Swinging, please feel free to point them out to me.)
