Okay, the guy shouldn't have been peeping in her room, and the hotel management should have been highly suspicious of his intentions instead of cooperating with him, but... fifty-five million fucking dollars? That makes her the one of the highest paid people in the entire sports world this year! Peyton Manning didn't earn that much for winning the Superbowl! Nobody should be secretly watched and recorded while they undress, but rape victims rarely get that kind of money, even if they have permanent injuries. This is absurd. As a woman and as a human being, I'm offended. Just think how far that money could go in a fund that helps poor women who are victims of violent crime, rather than giving it all to a very highly paid, famous attention whore with limited skills.

I have to say, she did a great acting job on the witness stand. That video increased her popularity and helped her career. She knows it, and she loves it. Emotional distress? She's laughing all the way to the bank.

How many women would be willing to undress on camera for $55 million? Everybody I know, for sure. Another train wreck for the American legal system.

 

Although I sympathize with her, somewhat, I agree that is an excessive amount of compensation. She is well off as is, and should donate it to women's charities.

 

I would have been happy with her getting a hundred thousand dollars, half a mil at the most. What was this jury thinking? Nobody laid a finger on her.
