Why should it matter that he is over the hill? The last time I checked, age has nothing to do with musical talent. Hits? I agree with what salmon4me said. Honestly, I would rather listen to my neighbors outside banging on their trashcan lids than I would listen to the hits that are out today. I am sure Eric Clapton would not take offense to you claiming he is out of touch with the younger generation, as who would want to be?

Eric Clapton may not be god, but he is still a great musician :).

If Jerry was God then why didn't he replace his missing finger?

He kept it that way in honor of Frodo of the Nine Fingers.

Jerry was & IS God, & will be on the day of resurrection. (Golden lights shine over thread.) If I'm wrong, my head's all empty & I don't care, bottom line.

"If Jerry was God then why didn't he replace his missing finger?"
Because God is perfect in imperfection, like man.

Do you people know nothing, man?????????

No human being is "God". Its nice to appreciate people who have moved you with their music, but I dont think its very fair to burden them with this "god" stuff, as well meaning as it may be. Its not healthy to worship people and its not healthy to be worshipped, especially if the person starts to believe it. Just my opinion, of course.

Lets say Clapton's music is god-like. I'd go along with that :)

Yeah, but I think he meant in terms of popularity at that time. Bad choice of words. Very naive thing to say really.
