LOL. There can be a lot of distance between having a strong will and having a rational personality. Most crazy people are dead certain of themselves.

Proof is usually in the pudding, as they say. You're sitting on 40 acres that you offered freely, but no one wants any part of it. Meanwhile, other intentional communities are doing just fine. It pisses you off and you blame the people who backed out, because they're all "morons and idiots." In my opinion, that says more about you than it does about them.

Maybe you didn't really mean that you would put heads on spears. I could understand if you were just pissed and said something rash, but you haven't even hinted that this was the case. I gave you the opportunity to clarify that statement in my original post to your journal, but you opted to censor me and disparage my character rather than do that. You also could have clarified it at any time in this thread, but you didn't. Perhaps it's because you're so strong willed? Whatever the reason, I have to take you at your word, now, and believe that you are the kind of person who would put heads on stakes, if it suited you. That is clearly not the action of a rational person. It's certainly not a stretch to think that others might see the irrationallity of it, as well - particularly, those who might, at one time, have been interested in what you offered.

 

Would it be really so bad if the human race didn't last? I mean for you personally. What change would it make for us if the last human dies 300 years after us? It wouldn't give me the feeling I've failed now that I think about it.

It didn't need any clarification from the start, because it said exactly what was meant... But just to be fair to you, I did on multiple occasions, repeat that clarification, and you chose to ignore it and to continue to attack your mis-interpretation of what I said.

So by all means, continue on attacking what it is that you imagine I said... obviously you are going to no matter what is said.

Almost all species become extinct, at some point. Amphibians and cockroaches are not good examples.

The drive to presevere is pretty strong, though. It's animal nature to endeavor to promote the species.

I don't believe you have addressed that comment even once, since you made it. You've skirted all around it and tried to qualify it, but you haven't clarified it. Do you, or do you not, sincerely mean that you would put their heads on spears, if the people who stood you up were to show up at your gate one day? Was it your intent to say that you would actually kill them, if they came to you? Here's your chance to offer a simple YES or NO to that quesiton. No BS about how you previously clarified it, or how you were mis-interpreted, or how stupid I am for not understanding, or any other kind of intentional deflection. Just a simple, "Yes, I meant it," or "No, I didn't mean it." I trust that we will never get lies from you, because you have said so on your journal. I will accept whichever answer you give as the absolute truth.

 

It is quite clear in what I said that those who had the opportunity to come now, and said they wanted to, and then changed their minds when they found out it meant doing actual work to build it up to where it could support all of us that are here, show up after a cataclysmic event of some type, they would first be told to leave. If they chose not to leave, for whatever reason, then they would be treated as the leaches they are trying to be and be killed.

Why? Precisely because to turn them away would indeed put them into the arms of a local militia or gang which could then in turn attack us.

Why wouldn't they be offered another chance? Because at that point in time, there would be no leeway for sympathy or charity for those who can't do for themselves. At that point, anyone who wished to join would have to demonstrate both a willingness to work alongside the rest AND either a skill that is useful or the ability and attitude to learn a new one. If they fell short on any of these, they would be a liability in a post apocalyptic world. The fact that they had already shown an inability to follow through on their words, would automatically disqualify them for consideration.

Just the same as if we did let someone in, and they chose to sponge off the efforts of the rest, they would be offered an opportunity to leave, and if they refused to take it, they would be killed.

Now, if you will go back and re-read the post of mine that you obviously skipped you will see that this is all said, it just isn't spelled out to the tiniest step because I made the incorrect assumption that you did have some brains in your head.

Apparently, you don't though, so I owe you an apology, I never meant to pick on someone with such an obvious mental disability.

 

But, this isn't what you initially said, at all. What you said was:

You are inserting additional qualifiers, now, that completely change the nature of what you originally said. That makes this current version vastly different. If you don't see that, then you're the one with a limited mentality.

If it wasn't spelled out specifically, far be it from me to make assumptions about what you meant. Many people say things in exaggeration when they're angry or upset. That's why I offered you the chance to clarify. And now you finally have and everyone can see exactly what kind of person you really are.

It's obvious from the number of qualifiers that you have since added to your edict, that you really wish to back away from your original absurd statement. You have also made a number of assumptions in your posts, the least of which having to do with my mental capacity. You assume that people know what's going on inside your head, without spelling it out. That's one of the indicators of insanity and it's a danger signal that most people would recognize pretty readily. I'm sure that most of your business prospects were able to see this in you before it was too late. Undoubtedly, it played no small part in your failure.

We could have clean energy by now and have much less carbon releases if environmentalists didn't go ape shit and stop nuclear power, so instead we built tons more coal plants(which ironically release more radiation then nuclear plants into the air).

 

Our planet is losing it's resources, and polar ice caps are melting. The ice shelves had retreated and grew smaller. I don't know if it's a cycle or not, I don't know if Al Gore is right, I doubt it. I just hope everyone treads lightly through our earth, we are a truly one of a kind atmosphere containing, sustainable environment.

 

what bothers me are holier-than-thou "OMG I'm saving the enviroment by being a vegan and not showering" types... they shove it down your throat and make a big deal that *gasp* you like burgers and shop at walmart because its cheap, and you use deodorant.
