*Twitches* ... no... NO! OMG NO! THEY'LL NEVER TRIM ME ALIVE!!!!!

Tonight there was a school dance, and everyone thought I was dead sexy because of my hair. I can't cut it. I just can't. Don't want to, never will.

You can experience a lot of good times with a lot of good people in the military.
    But not in the Marines!!

The moment you get off the plane for boot-camp, they're going to treat you like the slimmyest shit that ever got scrapped off a boot.

They make those young Marines so uptight, that they're even uptight when they try to party.

Even during and after battles they can't share the experience with each other like comrads, because they're too uptight.

Join the Army; join the Navy; join the Air-force.
At least there you're shoulder to shoulder with men who haven't been brow-beaten to the point of being too afraid to be real.
Die with men that you can really know.

    Don't be an officer!!!
Be in the trenches with the Boyz.
Suffer their suffering and enjoy their joys.
Officers are stuck in a prissy climate of status-seeking social-climbers.
Better to shoot craps and peel potatoes.

I don't blame you for not wanting to waste four years in an abstract college envronment.
    Life is too real.

But don't join because your old man says so.
Your 19; your the commander of your army.
Besides, your old man is an E-6, so you already know what he's going to say before he even says it.
