It's funny the little things in life, but on the west cost of the US, bidet's are all but non existent. It just so happened at a very nice hotel I had my first encounter with one. Wife took the kids to the pool and I stayed back to drop a duce and would catch up after. Never using a bidet before I figured what the hell. This one had different streams, intensities, pulsations, you name it. So I tried every combination and midway thought "Hey this feels pretty damn good, lol." After being more than clean I decided to take matters into my own hand and started jerking it while getting bidet'ed. Needless to say it was an awesome experience. Showed up at the pool some 20+ minutes later and the wife looks at me kind of funny and said "Everything come out okay?" to which I smiled and said "Yup!" I sometimes think about getting one for the home
aren't the toilet and the bidet usually two separate fixtures? in which case, you would have to enjoy the bidet with your feet or something while sitting on the toilet.. as far as i know, that's the case on every part of the US.
In some cases the bidets can be a completely different bowl, but they also make bidet devices which mount onto existing toilets, and such was the case in the one I experienced, so you could drop a duce and rinse off all on the same bowl without lifting a cheek It could be they are non existent in all of US, I'm mainly familiar with the west coast is all
I've never seen a bidet anywhere in America. The first time I saw one was when I visited Rome two years ago.
No need to buy a bidet - just sit on the toilet seat & flush the cistern & you have a butt cleaner & waste disposal unit - 2 in 1.
When I was at college they had bidets fitted into the toilets there. The main problem was, though, as with most plumbing, it would take a little while for the hot water to come through. On a slightly unrelated subject about those particular toilets / bidets, they were also made of stainless steel, which made a hell of a racket when peeing into them. Plus, one major drawback when using the bidet was that when you pressed the button, the main pump would kick in, making one hell of a racket, so that the entire unit (8 rooms) of the campus would be able to hear you using it.
Bidet toilet seats such as this one are becoming popular in the US. I installed one almost two years ago on our toilet. Everything is built into the toilet seat and bolts onto most standard toilets. My wife and I both enjoy using it.
