But... you're missing the wonderful message of "IT PROMOTES SUICIDE" and" YOU LIKE MUSIC YOU RELATE TOO". With the genius subtext of "hell the music alone makes me want to kill myself" You need to learn to appreciate this amateur wrestler's genius.
I get why emo kids could be annoying, but I never really get why people are happy to hear of them dying. I guess I don't know any well
it's not happy, it's indifference and apathy. totally different. except that maybe, just maybe, the death of one more miserable person upped the ratio of happy to sad that all the people of the world feel on some subconscious, psychic level.
No, not at all. But you can't write off someone because they listened to bad music and got bullied on myspace. It sounds silly to a generation that wasn't raised reliant on the Internet, but for kids of that age, the Internet really does carry a lot of weight. Kids don't use it as an alternative to socialization now. It is socialization. Things said to each other through myspace messages may as well be said in the hallways of school passing between periods three and four. Additionally, I can't agree with calling someone from an upper-middle class background a pussy for being suicidal. Anyone has the right to be depressed. I come from an upper-middle class family, and I've been contemplating suicide since I knew what it was. Now that I'm entirely broke, too broke to even feed myself, is my depression suddenly validated? Hell no. Life is hard, it doesn't matter where you are.
I bet the cruelness kids can do to each other went up by 1000% with the internet, and little stories i hear seem to back that up
dammit. you're being all serious and shit. what the hell happened to you, man? (though, yeah, fuck hellvis, fuckin' nooB.)
one thing i've learned about kids is that they're vicious little animals that haven't been given that thin little veneer of civility that most adults cultivate when they feel like it. also, they're really cute when they manage to do something nice and sweet. but teenagers should be locked in a box until they're 22 or so.
I don't see why anyone is to blame. Depressing music helps some kids get through their awkward teenage years. The reasons are many and complicated and require a greater consideration of society in general.
my whole life has been a succession of bullying and abuse. mostly i'm fine. though, to be honest, i'm not even sure why i'm arguing this, since i wasn't really on board with mocking the situation, just totally didn't give a shit about it.
yea, I am not taking the day off work tomorrow to mourn like I did for that other kid that listened to modern country
I agree, but if you focus all your attention in these cases on society, you lose sight of the individual, the one who really needs the consideration.
i like modern country. it's fun. like hairbands. AHHHHHH, the good old days, when kids just died by getting drunk and having "too much fun" if you know what i mean.
too far away. got enough locally, dealing with things like cancer and trying to get through high school without getting beat to a pulp.
I remember kids killing themselves, in fact the very coolest thing about me was the movie Heathers was based on my high school while I was there
