embarking on first trip alone

I don't regret the experiences, I do regret the timing.
If I had waited or not done so much shit when I should have been focusing on school and my future security I wouldn't be in the situation I am in now.
That is something that can be hard to fathom at 14, but it is a reality.
If I had focused back then, now I would now have the luxury of time and finances to explore some these things more fully.

In a lot of ways I wish I had spent more time just being a teenage kid, instead of trying to grow-up so fast.
I don't really have major regrets, it is what it is, can't turn back the clock so regret is a pointless and selfish endeavor.

IQ has little to do with being smart. It measures potential intelligence. Not using this potentule is what would make one an idiot. And you are certianly not an idiot if you have accumulated as much knowledge as you have and have an IQ of 132.

I took an IQ test in second grade and scored a 133(really) and I wasted my potential accademicly. D- average every year since 1st grade.

Am I smart? Not accidemicly, so most would say no.

Yeah absolutely right, it is just a measure of potential, and creative problem solving is a lot of it.
I'm not trying to brag by any means, don't have much in the way of accomplishments to brag about as I said in my first post in this thread.
Education does not equal intelligence and intelligence does not equal education.
Thats one of my frustrations now trying to find work. Close to 20 years experience in management and I get passed by because I don't have a BA, but the moron who talks "like ya know, and I was all" type of shit gets the job because he fumbled through four years and they handed him a degree. That just burns my bisquits!!

My advice to the OP was just don't let the opportunities that are before him now slip away because of partying, thats what I did and am now paying the price for it.

Actually from reading your posts, Willy Wonka, you usually do come through as a person with a good amount of sense and knowledge. Book learnin' aint everything, and don't let any body tell you so. Some of the biggest dumbasses I have ever met have Masters and PHD's.
All a college degree means anymore is that a person had the fortitude to accomplish getting that degree and that isn't anything to scoff at by any means.

But for those that still are young enough to profit from school, do it, play the game by "thier" rules so that when you get older you will be in aposition to play the game by "your" rules.

 

So what are you going to do with that potential? That is the question before you now.
