I have just read the screenplay of The King's Speech. There was a mention of an electric jug. I was under the impression that electric jugs such as here, http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=56815 were an Australian artifact. Were they ever sold in North America? I can only remember electric kettles growing up in the UK.
Hotpoint was a big brand name in the states for kitchen appliances, but I've never heard of or seen an electric jug.
