Anyone remember this one? Box office flop but one of my teenage favorites. This guy's PC develops a consciousness with the help of some wine. Controls appliances decades before Alexa...
I just read the wiki to Electric Dreams (1984). I like it. Most of the Box Office flops from the 80's have become cult classic gold. Howard the Duck (1986) was made by George Lucas. He made Return of the Jedi of which was is still the greatest movie of all time to many people. It featured Tim Robins (An award winning actor) and Lea Thompson (A Back to the Future star). What went wrong? Howard the Duck was already a comic strip legend. I blame the ungrateful critics for most of these flops. They were not hurting industries when they started criticising 300+ year old paintings in galleries and that is where they should have stayed. The real ratings should have came from fans. What if Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan starred in Electric Dreams?
