Hey, new to this forum so I thought I should do my first post on my favorite substance- acid. My first acid trip was at the beginning of this year. I came across 10 hits on sour patch kids, and on a rainy night after work decided to try them. My friend recommended starting with 1 hit, because he said they were pretty powerful. I took the first hit at about 11 PM, and went into the basement to watch tv and wait for the trip. After about 45 minutes all I felt was a small buzz, so, being new to the world of LSD, I took 2 more hits without a second thought. Around 12:15 I smoked a bowl of high grade weed, convinced that these sour patch kids were duds and I had been ripped off. But almost as soon as I cleared the bowl and put it back in my room, everything seemed... Different. The room felt like it was breathing, closing in and warping. Everything I touched began to have an almost electric feel, like it was giving off energy. I took this all in for a few minutes before returning downstairs, where things really kicked in. The first recognization that I was truly tripping came as I walked into my basement. I glanced over at my shadow on the wall, only to do a double take- it was moving without me, there was more than one figure in the shadow, and I could actually hear the shadows whispering. After this mindfuck things rapidly got stranger and stranger. I started getting clear OEVs, like my thumb suddenly glowing red and 'exploding', turning the whole room around me into a blossoming cartoon room of light. My hands scratched technicolor trails into the air, and the rug was flowing and morphing like in Fear and Loathing. I was fully into this amazing trip by 1:45, feeling like I was walking in a dream in a new world where everything was perfect, vibrant and crystally and colorful. At one point I questioned my existence- where to go from here? How could I possibly go back to a normal job and daily routine after this mind blowing experience? Around that time every aspect of reality melded into a vibration which I can't describe, and then time became meaningless. I was hoping to go to sleep After watching the sunrise, which I had assumed would be majestic. But when it came I looked out the window at it for a few seconds and decided it was unremarkable. It soon became apparent that sleep was not gonna happen in the near future, so I laid in bed for what seemed like eternities but was probably 2 hours. The whole next day I had that dulled, fuzzy feeling, and besides playing bass and listening to music I just laid around hoping to fall asleep. Eventually that night after weed and tea I was able to go to sleep, although every time I closed my eyes I saw spiraling rainbows and other CEVs. All in all it was a mind blowing, overwhelming, amazing and life changing experience. It was draining having no sleep but that was a small price to pay. I've had a handful of other psychedelic experiences since then, and enjoyed all of them, but I will always remember this first taste of acid, the paradigm shift.
yup, that sounds like LSD :daisy: i hope it was real L that you got welcome to the forums i will briefly recount my first taste of LSD: it was with a girl, her sister, and a hippie guy that we had met at a festival. i was 19 or 20. we got a small number of white blotters and i ate one. it was plenty i remember listening to 311, my favorite band at the time, and all the songs i knew so well, sounded so new! i was laying on the stairs loving life. we all walked to the convenience store barefoot haha, and then the two of us laid on the grass in a baseball field. it was a super fun trip, not much in the way of 'enlightenment' but those effects are harder the recall for me, and come more gradually and during sober life as well.
Sounds like a great acid trip! She takes a while to kick in sometimes, but when she does she kicks hard!
