I thought about doing dreads years and years ago because my hair wouldn't do anything I asked it to. Now that I've learned how to play with it properly, it's behaving quite nicely. Can't wait to see the pics of you dreadless. Can you post one of you dreaded as well, so we can compare and see how much effort you put into it?

and as for the ammount of effort.. it took 2 entire days to undo them. from 9 am to midnight one day. and 9 am to 4 pm the next day.

how would one do it?

 

washed it with a LOT of conditioner, then combed each one out from the bottom to the root.

about half my hair was loose hair that was only there because of the knots (after 3 months of having them.. to the day). It filled a waste basket.

but if i was a boy, i'd just cut them off, because my hair is in HORRIBLE shape now. I'd have to make it a boy cut if i wanted to get rid of all the hair thats ruined.

 

yeah, well i figure it wouldn't do "wonders" to one's hair

 

or ones scalp. it still hurts to touch my scalp...

 

golly, you should keep your hair like that. forget about all the damage, it looks damn cool in the pictures
