My heart is sad at the loss of this great guy! Went to see them just last year, and for a 70plus guy, he was awesome! Could still sing, dance, and entertain his audience.. Eddy's first band was the chants, another great Liverpool band of the 60s.. It's said that Paul McCartney fell out with Brian Epstein because he refused to allow the Beatles to back the chants . Paul and the Beatles did it anyway.. that was in the Tower ballroom in Birkenhead. The Chants were regulars at the Cavern club..
