Has anyone ever got too hungry to wait for the regular time they eat. And ended up getting really hungry the later it got? It happens to me, like today I was too hungry to eat around my regular time (about 6) so I ate at about 3:30. And I usually stay up to 11 or 12. So I know around 9 I'll probably get really hungry. And I never want to eat again especially at the time. Maybe it is just better to wait and eat at my regular time? Does this happen to anyone else?
body is like a car engine, when its out of gas it needs to get fuel.. your hungry later cause you need fuel. I understand what your saying, but your body/belly dont like being under the clock. it has a mind of its own. there are different types of people. some that only eat bld, others eat whenever they are hungry.. I eat when hungry ..
Honestly, I don't buy into the hype that it is necessary to eat certain things at certain times. You want to skip breakfast? Go for it. You want to eat late at night? Sure! Do what feels right for your body, honestly. And go from there.
That's why we have snacks to eat in between meals :2thumbsup: Like almonds, asian pear, dried apricots… Hotwater
I often eat 6 small meals per day instead of 3 large. I really don't like eating huge meals at one time and that works better for me.
I eat one meal a day and am never hungry, since hunger is caused from unstable blood sugar levels that is the result of eating carbs. When you replace carbs with fat, you are always in fat burning mode and thus are never hungry. I am typing this having not eaten a thing in 21 hours, and am not even hungry. I could probably go another 12 hours without eating if I wanted to, but I am not going to. I am going to eat a steak and a salad in a few minutes.
I'm never hungry either. But that is an issue considering I'm pregnant because even if I don't want to eat, I need to eat. I have to remind myself to eat at times... like, in the next half hour I need to get up and get some almonds and blueberries and probably something else too cause baby needs to eat.. dunno what though...
I know you're pregnant, Trish. I wasn't referring to you. You need to eat a lot when you're pregnant, including carbs.
A small snack (a handful of almonds... a small serving of fruit...) is not why people are fat. Large snacks- like most people eat... yes, large part of the problem. But I doubt many people are fat from eating a serving size of almonds between meals.
I responded because it made me start thinking how I'm not eating enough lately because I'm not hungry... beyond not hungry... bit nauseous feeling and I know I should eat more. Trying to think what's easy to eat...
if I can recall , you are skinny as rail except bun in oven.. Im skinny as well. I cant gain weight unless I sit and eat just junk.. however I eat @a constant .. very little to no gain.
If you feel hungry then you should eat. Your body is telling you that it needs food. Obviously eating something nutritious is a good plan and maybe moving your meal ahead is a good idea. I tend to have a schedule for meals as with having a family it works well but if I am hungry to the point of not feeling well because of it, eating at that time is by far the best thing for me to do.
I eat small bites throughout the day of something.....not a big meal all at once, unless I have to at a restaurant or dinner party...I think it is better to eat small amounts at a time.....a banana to start with is supposed to set your mood good for the day. My brother taught me that. That is what I should have eaten today.
I’m the same way at 6’2” I struggle to put on weight and generally hover between 175-180 lbs. My concern is hitting the big 40 and what changes I’ll go through physically as I negotiate middle-age hotwater
The only scheduled time I eat, is at dinner with my family. Other than that, I eat whenever the fuck my body tells me it needs food.
Oh btw, my son eats 3 meals at roughly the same time every day cause I think that's important for kids. But I don't. And my husband is rarely here for dinner (work) so I don't have some great, sit down dinner for just me and a three year old. Although I am currently trying to teach him table manners.
I also think this is a bit of a myth. You are active and seem to eat fairly well so if you maintain that you will probably not find much difference. Those who tend to have issues as they get older it is because of not looking after themselves as they age but also when younger. I am sure you will stay buff!
