I have to say that when I read about this it had a bit of a "wow factor" for me. Very interesting indeed. I don't find this too surprising though. There were numerous other species in our genus that left Africa and spread around long before we did.
Yes, but I have to admit I was surprised they had got as far as Britain so early on. A freind of mine actually came across this, and put me on the spot, with the question when were the first humans here in Britain. My guess of max two hundred thousand years was clearly way off. I find a lot of the discoveries being made these days fascinating, but theres so much its hard to keep abreast of it all.
