I bought a cheap bath towel from Hong Kong on E-bay. It said it was Egyptian Cotton.Further down in the description it said it was made from acrylic. I think it was only made from acrylic. Almost no absorption ability. Now I have made a complaint they have altered the description. But to make a bath towel out of acrylic is ridiculous. Slightly more absorbent than a sheet of PVC.
Why Would Anybody Go to E-Bay To Buy A "Single" Towel...??? ....Go Down To Your Local "Towel Shop" And Check The Quality Of The Merchandise BEFORE You Buy It......That Way You Will Be Supporting A Local Business.....And You Won't Be Stuck With A Sheet Of Plastic...... Cheers Glen.
Ebay is full of cheap Chinese stuff. The truth about what it is is usualy there is you look hard enough. But most people don't read the fine print. I don't think the site will do anything. The listed an item for a price that you paid for. Your personal satisfaction is not their problem everything was done right. All you can do is leave bad feedback but then they will probably do that for you.
OP, that's nothing! This is what my ordered towel looked like: Now, if only I ordered 2 I had some use for it and would be slightly ok with it..
That is far to simple, you have to go online to be trendy these days. The people who amaze me are the ones who shop online for groceries. They spend £5 on having a 40p can of delivered to save walking 100 yards to the local shop and wonder why their rump steak tastes like rubber after the shop have sent them all the rubbish that other customers have left on the shelf. A few years ago, I thought that the whole world was going crazy, but a few people seem to be waking up lately. One or the best ones that I saw was a portable fire blanket to hang beside the cooker. The packet explained how to use it, but a little white label on the blanket said "keep away from fire". It may have been chemically treated, but it was so funny. I also would imagine that the treatment would break down if you did not have too many fires and it was left in a damp kitchen.
